Volkswagen seems to have pushed up development on its “Up!” platform, and the bunch of cars the German automaker brought along to the Frankfurt Auto Show only goes to prove just that! With cars based on the highly versatile platform, Volkswagen unveiled the Buggy Up!, Up! Azzurra, Cross Up!, GT Up!, Eco Up! and e-Up! The Eco Up! and the e-Up! did catch our fancy the most however, given that the pair sticks to cleaner fuels and greener technology than the rest. The e-Up! sports an 18 kWh battery pack, giving it an 80 miles on a single charge. The Eco Up! lacks an electric engine, but chucks a gasoline drinking one for natural gas and boasts a fuel consumption of just 2.5kg/100km!

And given that these cars showed up from the Volkswagen stables, we’re pretty sure they’ll do just fine once they hit the assembly lines! Who wouldn’t love to save up on fuel-money these days after all!
