• Vestas Sailrocket 2 to use wind energy to break 55.65 knots sailing speed record

Sailing usually is a pretty lazy affair where the wind takes you around as per its moods and fancies, and at times simply decides to abandon you, leaving you stranded on a sail boat in the middle of a lake. The Vestas Sailrocket 2 however is a load different from your average sailing vessel and is engineered and crafted specially to meet the requirements to beat the sailing speed record. With the previous record marked at 55.65 knots in Namibia, the Sailrocket 2 is keen on crashing past that 64mph mark and is currently in Namibia preparing for the same. Also, this incredible feat will highlight the use of a renewable energy source as the wind for water-bound vessels.

We wish the Vestas Sailrocket 2 all the luck it needs in breaking this world record in a green and eco-friendly renewable-energy-powered way!
