• The UniCab could be New York’s answer for a green, clean and user-friendly cab of the future

The Big Apple seeks to give its taxi service a makeover and a couple of years have passed now since the New York Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) set out on its search for new vehicles. The city seeks vehicles that will fit in better with the era and opened up a website for some imaginative brains to come up with vehicle designs like these. The Taxi of Tomorrow needs to meet the highest safety standards, supply passengers with the best possible experience and amenities, good driver comfort, an appropriate purchase price, and suitable maintenance and repair costs.

These cars also should have low emissions, good fuel economy, disabled friendly, and should look and feel iconic to the New York City. The UniCab fits all these requirements perfectly, seating four passengers, a ramp for the disabled, seats four, boasts and infotainment system and loads more. So the UniCab may just be New York City’s next generation of iconic cabs. A few years ahead, you could be hailing a UniCab in the Big Apple, if all goes as planned and dreamt.
