This new Porsche will burn the asphalt, and will give the environment a tight hug too. The Porsche 918 Spyder hybrid plug-in concept is here with enough power to cross the 62mph mark in just 3.2 seconds. This sweet supercar gets better with a 500-horsepower V8 and two electric motors powering both the axles throwing in an extra 218 horsepower or 160kW. That’s not all. The car promises 78 milers a gallon and just 70 grams of CO2 emission per kilometer. The cars two powertrains allow maximum efficiency and performance. On the E-Drive or pure electric power mode, the car can eat up 16 miles on electrons alone. The hybrid mode uses both the powertrains and helps increase performance. The car also has a regenerative breaking system.

The awesome and marvelous 918 Spyder will feature tomorrow at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.
