The People Mover, a monorail system one with the environment

Almost every city these days has a mass transportation system, be it a bus service, the subway, trains, and loads more. None of these ever do really blend perfectly into the environment though. A design by Iosa Ghini Associati Srl however changes that, the People Mover. This one is essentially a monorail system that fits perfectly into the environment and natural surroundings like the right pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. The People Mover might just be more than a concept soon in Bologna and compromises of 5084 meters of track and two terminals. Parallel to this route is a walkway that allows for easy access and emergency exits. Using photovoltaic panels, this one uses perforated steel that allows in natural lighting at stations while plants growing in dedicated green spaces help keep the air naturally cool.

This is indeed a never conceived before design that will set standards for future mass transit system designs.
