Electric bikes aren’t new today. We keep stepping and stumbling on a host of them every now and then, like the EBIQ Electric Bike and the Urbanlit-e 1603 Electric Bicycle. Well this one’s a lot different than the others. Powered by solar electricity, the Solar Bike Fujin’s solar panels soak in the sun and power the bike by the electricity generated by the solar energy. A Japanese company, by the name Hama Zero which for some reason means “no website” developed the Fujin with an on-board solar panel. On a single charge, this one can cover up a distance of 220km of assisted travel. And if the sun doesn’t shine bright enough, you can also plug this one up at home to charge. The bike uses a 940W/h lithium-ion battery and can reach speeds of up to 72km/h.

The bike is light, weighing in at just 42kg. So hop on to this one for a solar powered ride and do the environment a favor by going clean and green.
