What better way to promote solar energy, than roll out a jolly-good ice-cream truck! California-based residential solar company Sungevity thought just that and unveiled the Rolling Rooftop. Unlike the other tinkle-bell ice cream trucks we’re all so used to chasing down the neighborhood in our childhood, this one uses solar energy to power up. Packed with solar panels on its roof that soak in solar energy to juice the truck up, this hybrid contraption also makes use of bio-diesels.

The truck sports iPads that will introduce consumers to the company’s iQuote process and once done touring the streets of NYC, will show up in New Jersey, Delaware, Massachusetts and Maryland, spreading joy and solar energy awareness.
