Smart For-Us pickup truck powers up with electricity

Pickup trucks as we know them have always stuck to the larger side of automobile designs and have been known to be gas-thirsty vehicles. So when Smart unveiled this miniature pickup truck, we couldn’t help noticing the paradox in the situation! Called the Smart For-Us, this petite pickup truck sports a tiny bed, a 98-pound-foot electric motor that pumps out 75-horsepower and sports a top speed of 120km/h. also, this pickup sports a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 17.6 kWh and could be the greenest way to get stuff around, that is, if the flatbed on this one was slightly larger.

And we’re pretty sure those die-hard pickup truck fans are bound to frown at Smart’s attempt at making an energy-efficient eco-friendly green yet somewhat silly pickup truck!
