Smart ForStars EV concept comes with a hood-mounted projector
When was the last time you drove in for a movie, bought your tub of popcorn and sodas, and then popped on to the hood of your car to watch the latest flick? I am guessing it’s been a long time. The thought of driving into a drive-in theatre also might not have occurred to you. And it’s not your fault. With the declining number of drive-in theatres everywhere, it will be a long time before you go to one as well. Amidst the hordes of cars we brought to you from the 2012 Paris Motor Show, there was another car that was on display, and will soon be out, the Smart ForStars.
What’s special about this car and what has this got to do with drive-in theatres you ask? Well, Smart has equipped sports utility coupe with a projector under its hood and all you need to do is point your car at a wall, jump onto the hood, ask your friends to park next to you, and watch a movie with the drive-in experience, just like back in the day. With a 60-kW electric engine, you can even have fun while driving around the town in this car. You can even park in your garage and watch a movie. It’s all about making your movie-watching experience very close and special.
