Dubai will have its taxis sparkling and shining, opting for an eco-friendly way to have them sanitized. DTC’s Acting Director of Operations Mohammed Yousif Saleh stated that the 3,500 taxi running company will use a greener procedure to have the fleet disinfected and sanitized, keeping in mind commuter health. Earlier, to tackle hygiene problems, perfumes were used, though that only contributed to the taxis smelling better. Without the use of chemicals, the new product to be used keeps the vehicles sanitized and has them smelling just as lovely. The Dubai Municipality has also certified the product’s credibility. Killing germs and smelling great isn’t really difficult, though keeping out the use of chemicals makes it a task, which is why the municipality earlier rejected loads of other products.

The product is to be used on a trial basis by the DTC for 3 months, subject to customer feedback. The Saniservice procedure to be used, involves the time-efficient method of fogging, which takes around 20 minutes, to clean up a cab. Dubai taxi commuters are in for a cleaner ride!
