Rinspeed Dock + Go range-extender for Smart ForTwo adds third axle and additional cargo space
Looking for the perfect way to extend the range of your lovable electric ride? Swiss-based Rinspeed now has the answer, with the Dock + Go, a backpack on wheels for your electric car. Essentially a range extender, this range extender adds a third axle for the Smart ForTwo EV. A mini-trailer of sorts, the Dock + Go can carry additional batteries for your electric car to feed on. Also, the range-extender can have several other uses, particularly for delivery fleets that feed on electricity. An innovative concept that could pretty much catch on with the surging EV markets of today, this range extender by Rinspeed will show up at the upcoming 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
