Electric cars have a few disadvantages as compared to the number of reward they provide. One such drawback is the shortage of adequate charging stations to power up these cars to keep them on the road longer. So to overcome this, Evatran, a company which deals with the charging of electric vehicles struck a deal with a design firm Synchroness to produce Plugless Power that will help charge vehicles from a hands free proximity. All you need to do is drive your car to a charger, and using inductive charging, it charges up your vehicle! By 2010, the company hopes that it will come up with a production designed model for use. GM also announced the standardization of electric car plugs a few months ago. This will help charge electric cars of different models using the same charging points.
