Realizing that their rapid charging system was a big too bulky than needed, Nissan Motor Co Ltd decided to give the system a face-lift and a size-down. The new charger by Nissan now measures just 1,840 x 380 x 665mm and sports a maximum output voltage of DC500V and a maximum output current of 125A. with its size being reduced by almost a half as compared to its predecessor, the new charger is available in three variations, base, standard and cold-region specific, with the standard model costing ¥1 million (approx US$12,982) while the base costing a lot less (about half of the current model’s price).

And with this, charging up your car rapidly turns into a space saving affair, one that could fit right into your garage!
