• Nanoflowcell Quant e-Sportlimousine electric car uses electrolyte tanks instead of batteries!

  • nanoflowcell-quant-e-1Tesla Motors managed to leave the world jaw-dropped when it first showed off the Model S. What surprised us more however, was the fact that the company managed to keep up with its promise of delivering a world-class car that’s environment friendly, and continuous to do so, even today. Following in the Tesla Model S’s footsteps is the Nanoflowcell Quant e-Sportlimousine, a car that grabbed second looks at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.

What makes this gullwing-door wonder an absolute delight is the fact that its powertrain is quite unheard of. The Quant e-Sportlimousine sports a cutting-edge, flow-cell energy storage system that recently received approval from German certification group TÜV Süd. Instead of using batteries, the car uses tanks of negatively and positively charged electrolyte solutions. These liquids are pumped through a cell stack to produce electricity, which in turn powers the car’s four electric motors! The car has a top speed of 218 miles per hour and can 62 mph in 2.8 seconds. With a 373 mile range, the Nanoflowcell Quant e-Sportlimousine will change the automotive industry for good.
