• Mitsubishi shows interest in having an electric F1 series

F1 cars are made to go fast, as fast as possible, and don’t really care a damn about energy efficiency or fuel-economy. Well, things might just change for these speedsters in the future though, with automobile firms envisioning an all-electric and silent F1 series. Japanese car makers Mitsubishi has shown interest in the idea too, giving the dream its first baby steps towards reality. It might be a while before we really see carbon-free F1 cars zipping around on circuits around the globe. Mitsubishi has previously reduced its motorsports participation, withdrawing from the 2009 Dakar Rally too as the company seems too preoccupied with EV technology these days!

The company hopes to turn F1 into a greener sport and we wish for the same. Nothing gets better than watching a bunch of electric supercars racing!
