Mercedes Benz has come up with a unique way to show the B-Class F-Cell’s efficiency and suitability for everyday use, a World Drive! This is yet another way of campaigning for a world network of hydrogen refueling stations. The journey will last for a whole 125 days with the cars traveling across four continents and 14 countries. Kicking off at Stuttgart, traveling on to Lisbon and then air-freighted to the continental U.S., the Merc will travel across and then over to Australia, from where a boat will take it to Shanghai. The car will then be driven across Asia and back home to Stuttgart. Using a 100 kW/136 hp electric motor, which develops torque of 290 Nm delivering dynamism from the instant the engine starts to turn, the car has an NEDC consumption (New European Driving Cycle) equivalent to only 3.3 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers.

Here’s wishing the ever green Benz a happy voyage ahead!
