Ever thought of an unmanned aircraft and on top of that a super light, pedal powered one? Well, South Korea has developed something that it claims to be the future of aircrafts. The Air Force Academy has said that the new solar powered aircraft flew around 100 to 150 meters at a height of 1.5 to 2 metres above the ground during the test flight. Being a monoplane made of glass fiber, Styrofoam and platic materials, the plane weighs just 39.9 kilograms. It has a wingspan of 30 meters and uses the pilots pedal power as its only source of energy. Now that a human powered aircraft has been designed and made, making of a solar powered one wouldn’t be far away.
