• Israel’s first battery swap station has your EV charged up in 3 minutes

  • Electric vehicles haven’t caught on yet, simply because charging stations aren’t all that common today. They’re as scarce as an endangered species, and the world is slowly moving towards electrically powered automobiles. We bring you tidings of a new EV station by Better Place in Israel. A battery-swapping station, this one juices up Renault Fluence Z.E. vehicles. All you need to do is, own a Renault, use a RFID card to enter the car-wash type facility, and leave the robots to swap your parched battery for a fully charged one in just about three minutes! That’s pretty quick, given that plugging an electric into the mains to charge up takes well above four hours!

Battery swapping is indeed the best way to have those clean and green electrics charged up and running, instead of having to wait a good few hours till the mains slowly trickle in juice into your EV.
