Inspired by BatMobile, the SunRed solar powered moped

It’s been a while since we’ve seen a moped designed anything like this. Mostly inspired by that admirable bike Batman used to get around with, the BatMobile, this moped, the SunRed by Oriol Guimera and Joan Cinca from a Barcelona-based design firm, Guimeraicinca is an armored one. Well, not really the type of armor to keep you or Batman too safe from projectiles being shot at you. The “armor” actually is a surface rigged with solar panels which charge up the moped when parked. So when its time to ride, push back the shell covering and ride away on a moped powered by green energy!

The SunRed has respectable on road speeds of 30mph, so there’s no speeding away on this one. It also features a 12 mile range and being a concept vehicle, will not turn up anywhere on streets for as long as it takes to turn into a reality.
