IKEA to set up EV charging stations at select stores in US

The next time you stop by an IKEA store in your EV you’re bound to be pleasantly surprised. The household furniture manufacturer has joined hands with ECOtality, setting up Blink electric vehicle charging stations for EVs at select stores in the United States, mainly Arizona, California, Oregon and Washington. ECOtality will oversee installation and manage charging operations of these charging stations, with IKEA planning to set up at least two each at the select stores.

And with that, purchasing furniture at IKEA stores around the United States will now turn into a EV-juicing affair, and retail giants and malls could pick a feather out of IKEA’s hat and do just the same too!
