An iconic yellow school bus that left us reminiscing our school days has just got a green makeover by Georgia Tech. A handful of students from Atlanta Public Schools will soon begin travelling to school in a green and energy efficient bus. 480,000 buses like these currently function in the United States, taking children to school and back home every day. With a $50,000 grant from The Ford Motor Company Fund, students at the Georgia Institute of Technology overhauled one of these to power up with recycled biofuel made from used cooking oil, collected in a drive arranged by the students.

Well, biofuel use might not be all that green as compared to electric vehicles. It is indeed a great start towards a greener tomorrow though.
