Just for this, I want to visit the Philippines. This is the coconut oil fueled, bamboo taxi. How cute is that? keeping in mind that ‘increasing powertrain efficiency is just one area in which vehicles’ environmental impact can be lessened’, new taxis are being built and used on Gilligan’s Island. The body is full bamboo and it runs on coconut oil based biodiesel. And it’s a pretty big one so you can share it with a couple of people as well.

For cost-effective and eco-friendly rural low speed alternatives this idea is a good one. Way to go… who ever introduced it.
