Envision Solar International who is the leader in solar integrated building systems has come up with solar shaded parking structure of Solar Trees at Dell’s headquarters in Texas which can also provide power to parked plug-in vehicles. This configuration of Solar Trees commonly called a Solar Grove produces more than 130kW of solar power which in turn helps avoid 145,000 pounds of greenhouse gas emissions every year. The eleven Solar trees are connected to two CleanCharge stations which utilize Coulomb Technologies ChargePoints.

The 110.62 kW array is made up of 516 individual solar panels that will be able to shelter 56 cars. The technology used by Envision is the Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology, in which the solar arrays incorporate two Envision Solar CleanCharge solar charging stations utilizing Coulomb ChargPoint for Electric Vehicles and Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles.
