The students of Cambridge University have developed a solar powered racing car that consumes half the power of a kettle. This car, calledEndeavour will make an appearance at the 3,000km race across the Australia. This solar marvel runs at 60lmp and uses a 6-square-metre covering of high-efficiency silicon cells to power a 2 horsepower electric motor to consume less power. It is also fitted with wheel-mounted motor and regenerative brakes. The Cambridge University
Eco Racing (CUER) team has armed the car with the ability to automatically adjust its speed according to road conditions and weather forecasts.

Endeavour weighs just 170 kgs and uses fifty times less power than a normal petrol-fuelled vehicle. With respect to the ever-changing fuel pricing, mass-producing this car will certainly help us travel in a very affordable and eco-friendly way.
