• Eco-friendly rail station in Disneyland’s hometown

  • disneyland-logo.jpg The Disneyland hometown, Anaheim, CA is all set to get its very own eco-friendly high-speed rail station. This project is called the ARTIC (Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center), will become synonymous with the city’s consistent efforts to provide eco-friendly transportation and energy options. It will cost $180 million to compete this project by 2013 and construction is expected to begin early next year depending on the funding from the federal overnment. This station will be the central hub for all connecting lines, including Disney’s monorail. It will be created sing expandable EFTE membrane, which will expand and contract to control the natural lighting to save on energy. This building will be designed by HOK, an architectural company known for its energy saving designs; will also include photovoltaic and hot water heating cells.
