• Eco-friendly Arcadia yachts sails with a solar roof

  • Arcadia.jpg
The Mediterranean Sea based Arcadia Yachts is an eco-friendly yacht which requires low powered engines, solar panels to recharge batteries to power the hybrid propulsion system and provides speed up to 8 knots in silence. It also requires lower building time and costs and also a lower purchasing price. They are a bunch of stylish, contemporary yachts and come in sizes between 75’ and 175’. The deckhouse is constructed out of double layered reflecting glass which when needed sliding overhead panels provide shade and privacy.

The yacht 85 is launched (which has interiors done up by big shot Italian designers) and the Arcadia’s 115 is soon to be out. The 115 is a two deck design with a foredeck dedicated to guests and houses a Jacuzzi surounded by sun pads. The final model Arcadia is 135 which will come out in spring 2010.
