A small wind generator called Marlec Rutland 504 Windcharger has been designed to charge the batteries of your boat. This eco-friendly alternative is ideal for boats less than 10m in length and with battery banks around 100Ah. The Marlec wind turbine charges the battery while your boat is docked and while on water it will continually top it up. These chargers are lightweight and portable and charges in wind speeds as low as 5 knots. It is equipped with a safety turbine that joins the six aerofoil blade tips with an outer ring. Its low friction 3 phase alternator runs silent, and offers 360-degree free rotation on its mounting pole.

The Marlec Rutland 504 Windcharger costs $370. This wonder charger can also be taken home and used for other stuff like running a garden pump, fountain or provide low voltage lighting to a shed or garage.
