e-Vivacity, Peugeot’s electric scooter will soon be unveiled
Peugeot has been in the news before for manufacturing some green sets of wheels like the 3008 Hybrid4 car. The automaker is now planning to venture into developing two-wheeled green machines, electric scooters. the French firm is all set to launch the e-Vivacity scooter, packed with a lithium-ion battery that juices a 4kW electric motor that matches up to the standards of a 50cc gas-powered engine. The scooter charges up in just two hours using a standard European 230-volt plug and boasts a 60 mile range on a single charge. Turning the accelerator all the way around pushes this one to a maximum speed of 28 miles per hour; good enough to navigate through European streets.
An electric scooter does work out a lot cheaper than a gas powered one in the long run. Peugeot haven’t hinted about the pricing yet.
