BMW’s all-electric car, the i3’s images and details leaked

BMW has been drawing up plans to stun the world of automobiles yet again, though before the German car manufacturer has made any official announcements, we’ve just got wind of what they’ve got lined up! The company will be unveiling the i3 all-electric car on the 29th of July in Beijing, London and New York and here’s a small preview of what’s coming up. Codenamed the Megacity, the i3 first showed up as a concept car until BMW finally decided to have it hit production lines.

The car is as futuristic as it gets and comes with an electric motor producing 170 horsepower and 184 lb-ft. of torque. An optional two-cylinder internal combustion range extender is also available. The car touches speeds of up to 60mph in less than 8 seconds and we think this pretty much makes it a perfect urban ride. That apart, the car makes use of well-designed LED tail lamps, a high-definition color screen replacing the conventional instrument cluster and yet another screen that works as an infotainment and navigation system. Well, BMW has indeed given its peers a lot to think about with its brainchild, the BMW i3.
