• Bamboocycle, a bicycle boasting a sustainable bamboo body

Metal bodied bicycles are everywhere. We prefer ones a bit more different and greener too, like this one designed by industrial designer based in Mexico City, Diego Cárdenas. The Bamboocycle puts away all that metal and opts for a body made of bamboo instead, a much more sustainable and greener option. The bicycle also works as an air-purifier, reducing energy and emissions of CO2 and generating about 30% more of oxygen at the same time. The bamboo body also helps make this bike strong, flexible and light too. Bamboo can be harvested in a sustainable fashion and is biodegradable. It also is a renewable resource.

And with that, bicycles get a lot greener than they already are. Move away gas-guzzlers! Make way for some green pedal power!
