• Armchair made of discarded keyboards

  • lounge_chair_1.jpg
This armchair may make you think twice before sitting on it as its normal for us to freak out when the keyboard is thrown about in the fear of losing a key. Designers Dante Bonuccelli and Lamm made of computer keys, which if they flex, might add a heretofore unseen level of comfort from keys and is called Texte-ile. This was created for the UMUL 2009 project – which is Use More, Use Less.

IT company VOICE SYSTEMS develops and produces a machine for the automatic reading of printed texts known as VOICEbox which is integrated with a laptop, from which the keyboard is removed, as it has a numeric keyboard that is easier to use. These discarded laptop keyboards were used to create the chair. It’s pretty jazzy looking.
