• Traffic flow could ease up with adaptive traffic lights and help to save fuel in the bargain

So, you’ve figured out just how long that friendly neighborhood traffic light takes to change from red to green, you gun your engine as it counts down, a speed away the moment it does. Maybe things could change for you in the future. Traffic lights could just go adaptive, and recognize the inflow and outflow of traffic, changing accordingly. This could help the entire system of traffic lights link up across intersections and work together! So, this could probably mean green light after green light. All said and done, this could just help save a lot more energy too, taken that not too many people bother turning off their vehicle engines at stop lights in anticipation of it changing.

So, the better the flow of traffic, the lesser the gridlocks, the more the energy saved and the happier the commuters. Everyone gains! And the environment is saved from a few pains!
