• Pedal-Powered Skycycle – The greenest rollercoaster of all

Green or otherwise, rollercoasters are not for me. But for those who seek thrill and get high by moving up great heights, rollercoaster rides are a must. And here is one such breathtaking ride that promises a journey upwards but with a slight twist. Skycycle at Washuzan Highland Park in Okayama, Japan, is certainly not the steepest or the fastest but it is touted to be the greenest rollercoaster. And how did it manage to get that title? Well, this towering bike trail is pedal powered. That means it doesn’t consume any electricity. The park only depends on the grid for illuminating the path after the sun set. Since this ride isn’t about speed, it is bound to attract visitors who seek a different kind of pleasure. Also the task of pedaling upwards doesn’t seem to be as easy as sitting in an electricity powered ride where its just a matter of seconds to reach threatening heights.

However the Skycycle will lure all the eco-conscious thrill-seekers who intend to elevate their senses but in a green style.
