• Evolv tools to use recyclable packaging made from corrugated paper

  • E.jpgWe all have them in our garages, in the attic and up the loft. We’re talking about those every-helpful set of tools you keep at home, to help you out with your do-it-yourself exploits and minor repairs. Well, its time for our tools to go green too. Evolv, a tool brand from Sears has hooked on design firm Design Guys to come up with an eco-conscious package for their latest series of tools. The firm hopes to adopt packaging that shuns the use of PVC by doing away with the clamshell and blister pack style container. Instead, Evolv will use recycle-friendly corrugated cardboard to pack these set of tools.

That’s not all. This packaging can be easily produced by every vendor regardless of manufacturing technology capacity, making it a lot more practical and at the same time environment-friendly and eco-friendly. Maybe tools made out of recycled materials could help give Evolv a greener face.
