• Washing machine that will use just a cup of water to wash

The washing machine is probably the one thing that has brought about so much obesity in today’s world because washing clothes is a pain. And the amount of water that’s wasted? Not even a joke. But now you have the option of saving some of that water by uising as little as one cup water for your clothes through a new project done at University of Leeds in Britain. It uses less than 10 per cent of the water of conventional machines and 30 per cent less energy by
replacing most of the water with thousands of tiny reusable plastic beads to attract and absorb dirt under humid conditions. The washing machine will use just a little water and detergent to dampen the clothes, loose the stains and create water vapour that allows the beads to work. These beads can then be used up to a hundred times by storing it in a mesh in the machine’s drum.

The idea will first reach hotels and dry cleaners before going to homes the company Xeros who was behind the technology said.
