Mobile phones are soon turning into an essential need, causing more and more people to plug-in their mobile phones to charge up. Well, Vodafone came up with a mobile phone that doesn’t need plugging in all the time! It simply soaks in the sun. Known as the Vodafone 247, these phones sport an integrated solar panel that basks in the sun, charging up the phone.

The phone features some basic features like an FM radio and a color display. Not exactly a high-end device for a gizmo geek to drool on. This phone grabs attention because of the solar panel strapped to its back. The phone will soon be on sale, sometime in June. An hour in the sunlight gives this phone around 20 minutes of talk time. That’s enough time till you get to a charging port nearby.
