Solar powered devices are cropping up quickly in the summer heat. Here’s yet another one. This audio device soaks in the sun to play your favorite tracks aloud. An iPod speaker, the Soulra uses a built in solar panel to suck in the sun’s juice and power up. This iPod speaker is indeed a handy device to take camping or on beach trips where additional entertainment can help while lazing around.

It uses a full range 8-watt RMS speaker letting you pump up the volume on your music. The exterior of the Soulra is water resistant, just incase a few drops of rain or sea water to manage to splash. Using a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, this iPod speaker can run a full 7 hours on a single charge and works with the iPhone too. You can pick one of these for $199.
