When the world is going green, why Sony should be left behind? This spring Sony is launching its eco-friendly BRAVIA WE5 ECO TV which will see you shelving out for lesser money for electricity than when you possessed a Sony BRAVIA high-definition TV. In fact, it reduces up to 50% of power. What this full HD 1080p LCD TV has is a kick-ass energy saving micro-tubular Hot Cathode Fluorescent Lamp backlight which helps in better picture mode by not increasing electricity. Another extremely cool feature of this TV is that it has a Presence Sensor that will detect body heat and also your movement within a certain range from the TV set and when you leave the room, this sensor activates the picture off mode and puts it on when you come back into the room! The TV will also go on stand by if there is no one in 30 minutes.

Other features in the Sony BRAVIA WE5 ECO TV include an Energy Saving Switch and idle TV mode with PC screensavers. No price has been released yet.
