• Samsung’s well-designed energy-efficient LED TVs show up at CES 2009

    Treading on the green path, Samsung is also vying for green attention at the ongoing CES 2009 with their new range of LED TVs. this eco-friendly light source not only helps to increase the life of the device but also enhances the performance and appearance. Featuring ultra-high contrast ratios, the new Luxia high-definition TVs barely measure more than an inch. Using the light-emitting-diodes as their primary light source, this third generation of LED TVs can help to reduce energy consumption by 40 percent over traditional liquid crystal display models.


    The Luxia 8000 series, the top of the new line, will feature a refresh rate of 240 hertz, more than four times the speed of other HD TVs. Though the official price was not revealed, it is debated that this new line of LED TVs from the South Korean company will be more expensive than current LED models. Presented in a number of designs with ruby or black bezels, the three LED TVs will also come with internet capability using your wired or wireless Ethernet and onscreen content from Yahoo!, Flickr and YouTube including RSS and IPTV widgets.
