Samsung Blue Earth is the first solar powered touch screen cell phone
Samsung is leading the race of manufacturing eco-friendly cell phones with its latest solar powered touch screen version. Aptly christened as Blue Earth, this all blue colored phone flaunts all green features. Akin to the latest eco-friendly MOTO W233, this one too is shaped out of recycled plastic bottles (PCM). This green Samsung baby gets its feed via the solar panels fitted on the rear. Thus keeping its users grid-free. All set to wow the eco-folks at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, this cell phone also boasts of the must-have touch screen feature. The Eco-mode allows switching over to the energy-efficient mode for screen brightness, backlight duration and Bluetooth. To promote the use of legs over wheels, the phone comes with an eco-walk feature. The in-built pedometer will alert the user about his reduced carbon footprint when he opts to walk and not drive to destination. Shaped as flattened blue pebble, it will lure all the eco-fashionistas who crave for green products that don’t compromise on stylish appearance.
Intended to ship in the later half of 2009, the Blue Earth will come packed in eco-friendly packing too.
