Power Hog meter to help manage energy consumption

Power Hog is a small white and green device made out of Xenoy iQ1103-U grade resin from Sabic and is 100 per cent recyclable. This is a gadget you CAN give your child to play with. The little green-nosed pig has a dollar symbol which lights up when you connect its tail to a power slot and the device (TV, computer, cell phones, play stations, etc). Then ask your children to put in their quarter and for half an hour you can do your thing until the green dollar goes red reminding you that its time to switch off and save energy.

The Power Hog meters the consumption of electricity and warns you to be careful. Such a great idea. The next time your disobedient son or husband annoys you with PS3s, you can remind what damage they are doing to humanity. No guarantees on that working though.
