• Nokero International unveils solar-powered mobile phone chargers

We’ve seen quite a few solar powered charging systems for mobile phones before. Here’s one more that juices the sun for a bit of energy. Developed by Hong Kong and Denver-based firm Nokero International, this solar powered mobile phone charger is mainly aimed for developing regions of the world, where electricity can, at times turn into a luxury of sorts, and proper grid systems haven’t really taken root yet. The charger is currently available in two versions, the 1-watt P101 and the 2-watt P102. The latter is designed to be more powerful than the former, and gets the charging done in half the time.

Also, these chargers are small enough to slip into a pocket, and are USB compatible too. Costing $29 for the P101 and $49 for the P102, Nokero needs to pull the prices down however, if they’re really targeting developing nations.
