• Marriot offers a green high-tech alternative for multinational meetings across the globe

  • Marriott_Logo.jpg These days, trade is not limited to one city or country or continent. In an attempt to promote business, executives of multinational companies need to fly from one place to another, thus resulting in enriching our environment too with more carbon footprints. But Marriott International has come up with a high-tech solution that will certainly not affect their business as well as our environment. They have just announced the installation of state-of-art high-resolution video conferencing systems in their hotels across 25 cities. Also since the economy is down, many global companies will favor such a move that will help them to cut back on costly overseas trips. Such global meetings will render a greener platform for improving business as people will travel shorter distances and easily connect with colleagues and clients around the world.

Operational from October onwards, their hotels in cities like New York, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Hong Kong, Shanghai, Frankfurt and London will be fitted with AT&T’s Telepresence systems. The systems will go into a mix of Marriott, J.W. Marriott and Renaissance hotels.
