Green Ocean Energy’s Wave Treader machine first in the world to be fully certified

The ocean is being used to create energy on a large scale today, with wind and wave energy being harnessed. Green Ocean Energy’s unique Wave Treader machine is on its infant stage of being fully certified by the DNV (Det Norske Veritas), an independent company by securing the Statement of Feasibility. This will be the first marine power company to ever have its technology fully certified. The Wave Treader combines wind and wave energy and connects to the transition piece of an offshore wind turbine. This increases the energy harnessed by the offshore wind farm.

Green Ocean Energy now hopes to have the design and construction of its full scale prototype fully certified, tested and deployed at a suitable commercial site. The ocean is brimming with energy, and its time we harness it to the fullest.
