• Green Machine green air conditioner by Air Change

  • change_air.jpg We had done a piece a while back about an Australian company launching a multifunction solar system Chromasun air conditioner. Now another company in Australia, Air Change, is developing a solar-powered air
conditioner, the Green Machine. The company says that this one will be 12 times more energy efficient than other conventional models. They were granted $377,800 from the federal government to help the company
commercially produced by 2011. This green air conditioner will use a solar-powered thermal compressor. The refrigerant, even water can be used, is recirculated and recompressed.

Air Changewill design models for both homes and commercial buildings. The technology was developed by Mike Dennis, a senior research fellow at the Centre for Sustainable Energy Systems in the Australian National University College of Engineering and Computer Science. This machine will also help in cutting down massively on electricity and reduce the amount of greenhouse gas emissions caused by conventional
    refrigerants.
