Apple admits its devices are green house nightmares

Apple is buckling up to be a green friendly company now that so much has been made of its ignorance o the environment. The company boldly admitted to contributing over 10.2 million tons of carbon emissions in its new green website (http://www.apple.com/environment/) featuring how much carbon its computers emit per hour of use. Would be really nice to see other manufacturers, clearly showing their current standings on the eco scales and improving their own stand.

Apple is reducing the amount of packaging used for products, which enables more unites to be sent in each shipping container. For example, between 2006 and 2009 the packaging for 13-inch MacBooks has been cut 40 percent, meaning the company can fit 50 percent more boxes per airline shipping container.
