Though UK’s Prime Minister Gordon Brown is making noise about the need to reduce global warming at the G8 summit in Italy, he needs to follow the famous adage ‘Practice what you Preach’ for now. DailyMail reports that the Houses of Parliament loses more heat than Buckingham Palace, the Reichstag, Scottish Parliament and the Welsh Assembly. Based on a scientific report, it is estimated that the heat lose costs the taxpayer £7,191 ($11,700) a year in wasted energy. An infra red image analysis exhibited quantified C02 loss and heat loss through thermal image. On the color spectrum of thermal imaging, dark/navy colors indicate little or no heat loss, bright yellow indicates the most heat loss while red is the middle of the scale. This patented software quantifies the data in a traditional infra red image to disclose just how “green” key landmark buildings really are. With such a monitoring act, nobody can falsely claim the green status of any architectural structure. Mr. Gordon, are you reading this? If so, then understand that change starts at home!
