World’s first solar powered sound stage opens in Brooklyn, New York

Film and television goes green too, with a sparkling new solar powered sound stage facility kicking its doors open to the world in Brooklyn, New York. Artists like Jay-Z, Beyonce and Kings of Leon have worked with Broadway Stages before, to produce music. Now, with a bunch of solar panels on its roofs, busy juicing up using the ever-generously given energy by the sun, the Broadway Stages will have artists work with green power! The panels are expected to cut short floor-reaching energy bills by more than $70,000 a year and keep 75,000 gallons of diesel from being burnt. Broadway Stages is the world’s first solar powered sound stage, and along with a load of renewable energy, it has also brought along 10 permanent jobs and some 50 part-time jobs for the residents of the Big Apple!
