Out goes the old energy sucking incandescent light bulb, to make way for the newly unveiled Philips EnduraLED 12 watt bulbs. As a replacement for a normal 60 watt incandescent bulb, that we usually use today, this bulb by Philips saves a whole lot more energy, 85% to be precise. It also lasts 25 times longer than the old incandescent. LED technology is taking the world over by a new light, thanks to its eco-friendliness and Philips has grabbed at the opportunity to introduce this at our homes. The 12 watt bulb delivers 806 lumens. Replacing all those 425 million 60-watt incandescent light bulbs sold in the US annually will help save 32.6 terawatt-hours of electricity in one year, enough energy to light up 16.7 million more homes!

The EnduraLED is sure to find its place in our homes soon.
