Taiwan all set to build its largest solar power plant

Taiwan Power Co will be building the nation’s largest solar power plant company with a capacity of 4000 kWp in Kaohsiung County. The proposed solar power plant would begin commercial operation at the end of next year with total procurement business opportunities worth NT $ 1.17 billion (US $ 35.8 million). This is in conjunction with the government’s plan to implement several measures to help reduce power consumption and carbon dioxide emissions in the nation. Taipower will announce the opening of bids for the project next month. This will be a great business opportunity for the solar photovoltaic industry. The development of this industry will be the trend in the future. If the government will provide assistance, it could bolster the demand for solar energy.
